intersection of compton and chouteau now...

this is the intersection where the new gate district monument will go; as you can see the teepee has seen better days. the teepee went up i do believe in the 30's or 40's and it was to represent something about the three corners of the city...the artist who designed the structure was from st. louis but not the gate district. i will continue to look for some more information about this structure, so check back in the days to come...
