does this mean the vatican will hold clearance sales on encyclicals???

a couple of weeks ago npr reported that our holy eminence pope benedict had just come out with his first encyclical and is putting into effect copyright laws on his encyclicals. so, if you quote any part of his encyclicals the Vatican will be charging you…it’s how the Vatican makes money! The reporter did question the belief that if the pope is the high voice in the church and a direct voice from god did this then mean that god was now charging for his words?

let it be said that I will not be charging for my encyclicals, they are free of any charges. so, you may copy them and write them as much as you like, in fact, work ahead like we did in grade school and do it 50 times on wide rule paper…of course, now I need to come up with some quotable entries. in any case, stay tuned for the free “encyclicals of ms”
